Pebble Tossers creates impactful volunteer experiences for families and children of all ages. Our projects introduce and educate youth to issues that are most pressing in our community. When given responsibilities at our projects, youth develop a sense of compassion, self-worth and empowerment.

Julian’s Story
Eight-year old Julian was nervous and a little scared to interact with people experiencing homelessness for the first time. On the drive to the service event at SafeHouse Outreach, his mom read through the Pebble Tossers project prep sheets which provided questions that he could ask and discussed different scenarios for him to expect. By the end of our project, Julian was the last person to leave. He was caught up in conversations with many of those he was serving and he wanted to stay. “Can I come back next week?” he asked his mom with a smile.
